Founded in 1993, Proximity Systems is a Houston-based company dedicated to providing our customers superior wall-mounted, retractable computer WorkStations with excellent customer service and support. These highly customizable computer WorkStations improve workflow, enhance efficiency and optimize floor space in industries such as healthcare, public safety, hospitality, education and general business.
While we work with all industries, we are especially knowledgeable in the healthcare field, and have worked with more than 1,000 leading healthcare facilities to help integrate equipment, meds/supplies and patient information at the point-of-care. We are active members of HIMMS, Muse and Insight.
Proximity is unique because we design, engineer and manufacture our products, which means customers get a unique custom product tailored specifically for their needs. Executive Team
Roger Goza has more than 35 years of management and engineering experience in the manufacturing, retail, and healthcare industries. For over fifteen years, Mr. Goza served as Vice President of Operations for major regional retail companies with executive responsibilities for Distribution, Information Technology, Engineering, Store Design and Construction. In 1990, he started a consulting firm, Roger Goza and Associates, focusing on operations development and process improvement, with much of his work in hospitals. In 1992, Mr. Goza designed and manufactured the first retractable WorkStations (RG and A Products) and incorporated Proximity Systems in 1998. Mr. Goza has a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineering. He is also a member of Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Mike Schwab grew up as a third generation carpenter leading to a career in furniture making. He has more than 26 years experience in the furniture manufacturing industry. He was owner of a fine woodworking manufacturing company for 22 years. His customer base ranged from Fortune 500 corporations to high end residential homes. The scope of work included the design and manufacturing of store fixtures, commercial furniture, computer network command centers as well as commissioned furniture pieces. Mr. Schwab’s company manufactured Proximity Systems Workstations for 9 years before joining Proximity Systems in 2002 to help set up a manufacturing division. Mr. Schwab attended and studied at the School of Architecture at New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Jeremy Goza joined Proximity Systems in October of 2004. He began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and worked with Fortune 500 Telecom clients on various IT process improvement projects in addition to system implementation projects in management roles. One of the projects his team accomplished was the implementation of a system-wide telephone number forecasting tool as well as testing and quality control of the client’s DSL ordering system. While there he rose through the ranks to a position of Manager in the Communications and High Tech Operating Group. Mr. Goza is a Graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. He received his MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and is a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Shirley Goza has more than 35 years experience in accounting with an emphasis in taxation. Her early career was with Arthur Young and Company (currently Ernst & Young) and later with a predecessor of KPMG. She also has experience with local public accounting firms as well as in industry. She has been with Proximity Systems, Inc. since its inception. Mrs. Goza has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a Certified Public Accountant with membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Houston CPA Society.
Richard Terry joined Proximity Systems in 2002. He has more than 10 years outside sales experience plus 25 years of managerial experience in sales and operations. He has held numerous management roles including being a Division Sales and Operations Manager and an Executive VP and General Manager for an automotive and industrial lubricants wholesaler. Richard holds certifications in Industrial Safety, HR, Distribution & Warehouse Management, D.O.T. and Hazardous Material. He has completed advanced training courses in Management, Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Human Resources, Motivation and Leadership Development. Richard served in the US Air Force Logistics and Ground Support and is a member of the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA).
